i prefer conventional plastic case too.digipak is really inappropriate, even though it has plastic tray glued to cardboard.In my collection, many digipaks have disintegrated when the glue stopped working and the tray was detached.Exception is made-in-Japan digipak, which seems quite decently manufactueed.And Japan rarely uses digipak.Nowadays i see more of wallet or jacket design ie no plastic at all.I think the most important aspect of packaging is that size must be standard jewel case dimension to make storage convenient.
HK record labels seem to compete in assembling the most jaw-dropping CD packaging. {:6_168:} the surprise element is part of the appeal, i guess.Taiwan is guilty too. The Assassin-OST(聂隐娘) really pushed the envelope - i admire the designer's imagination and guts, and i actually bought the OST.The whole thing is a book+poster and the CD looks like an afterthought.

可惜膠托個圈，新買番嚟已經斷晒腳，試過好多次隻碟飛出嚟！
這個都要提醒吓 D CD商 ... 不要貪平用 Cheap 野 ... ...

最記得「玩狗」果一大堆翻叮N次既所謂靚聲 K2HD , 100%一拆面果層包膠就「盒、紙、套、碟」自行分離,之後除咗 XYZ%#@ 同{:6_132:} {:6_137:} 之外你唔會想放佢入機...
因為仲要嘥一大輪時間洗碟抺碟... ...
