藍藻魚 Dory 的回家本性促使她去尋找自己的父母 Charlie 和 Jenny，而小丑魚 Nemo 和他的父親 Marlin 在發現她走了以後也追了去，由此展開了一場全新的海底冒險。影片可能會加入一些反對水族館、海洋世界圈養虎鯨等高智商海洋動物供人類娛樂的內容。
