各位8仔838既用家, 請問你地用咩 HD 架呢?
因為我有個同事買左部 838, 試哂屋企D HD都係認唔到, 之後走去買左隻原裝WD既 500GB既 外置3.5"既 HD, 都係認唔到, 佢就用緊最新果個HD838 Firmware Upgrade 升級韌體下載(SW: 116.02.07-ADV) FIRMWARE, 唔知你地依家用緊邊個 FIRMWARE架呢???可以比比意見嗎??

or
係windows 裡面 format 佢做 fat32

係windows 裡面 format 佢做 fat32{:6_165:} 早排朋友都買左隻838 + 水牛牌 1TB, 一插即用冇問題, firmware 同你一樣 我部都係咁 ..........唔知發咩瘟，無啦啦認唔到，試過插落電腦，冇得Format 做 FAT32 ！ 無Partition，己將 Format 做 NTFS，但無得簡FAT32 11# maner394
NTFS (file system since window NT) is more modern file system than FAT32
so, VISTA does not support formatting hd to FAT32 anymore
in my case, i'll have to use the software provided by buffaxx to format the hd to FAT32 I use WD Mybook 1T and 838 can recognize it.
I usually switch off everything, then connect the harddisk to 838, then turn on the hard disk first, then switch on 838. After 838 bootup, it will said something like "USB device found, please wait". Then after sometime, it will said your harddisk format is incorrect and will ask you to format it. Then use the format tools of 838 to format it.
