Before it was in release, I thought it could earn at least $110 million worldwide, however, I didn't realize that many countries boycotted the film as its story was about gangsters.

Many countries have taboos over gangsters, that's why it lost its major market, especially China. May be, the home media sales can cover its damage.

That's repugnant! It's just an action film and it doesn't promote anything detrimental! That's the reason why the finacial failure occured! It could've been avoided if those countries were more civilized!
