See this BEETHOVEN SACD has 2 layer but 3 sound choice:
regular stereo CD layer (CD Audio),
stereo sacd layer (SACD stereo),
and 5.1 surround sacd layer (SACD 5.1 Audio),
if you simply connect red and white RCA cord, you just get regular stereo sound 2.0, even SACD stereo, I wonder it is just downmix to regular stereo 2.0, you cannot really enjoy the benefit of direct DSD signals from SACD layer to let your Amplifier decode to playback better sound{:1_342:}
anybody expert here may help help on this issue?
no HDMI jack of Amplifier, it means also your time to upgrade the Amplifier to HDMI-friendly model, hehe{:1_263:}
Use HardDisk to store and listen to music, you just need USB no need HDMI wor
I think so far no Cantonese Pop is released in 5.1 surround sound yet, anybody can comment?

非常再次多謝ERNIE兄的推許和建議, 可以的話, 當然是百分百用盡部機所有分唇啦; 但小羊買來只是想聽一聽D SACD聲啫.{:6_143:}

如果跟足部機去砌, 要買HDMI 5.1 綫, 全新Amp(同虎大人行街話部2萬幾日製DENON好正添,類似12點2聲道, atmos ... ...), 咁又要買一D有5.1的SACD碟, speakers又要前置后置中置sub-woofer喎 .... $$$$$ {:6_125:} {:6_161:} {:6_147:}
不過, 真的好開心, ERNIE兄 和 post76 c-hing 肯花時間, 花心機研究和討論, 不如繼續齋TALK D唔駛駛$個D野啦. {:6_122:}

sadly if you just connect red and white RCA cord, you cannot get what SACD 1-bit format sound but just downmix stereo sound.
i think let keep it 5.1 is reasonable enough, 12.1 is too many speakers in our small living space!
I think if you are not so fever, nowadays 5.1 Amplifier is not too expensive, can be less than 10K, but I think the killer is the good speakers, I like B & W speakers a lot, and I think it is worth to invest $ in speakers which can last for years! Another killer is the Universal Disc PLayer, good one like OPPO or CAMBRIDGE costing over 10K, so you can get better HDCD and SACD direct data from player to Amplifier to do the decoding task {:8_399:}
You see that old pairs of BOSE still playing good in Mongkok WIN-WIN CD shop la!{:8_376:}
