Yes ar...i also use a box even silicon which less to worry about drop the ciem to ground and broken but silicon need to have good care for example the dust, wet, humidity and damage by other sharp objects etc...Besides, silicon is soft comparatively means if u press it more often withput protection the sound tube will be easily bend which will affect the sound quality
