有冇師兄用 Router DLNA 代替 NAS DLNA

我發現現在好多高階 Router (e.g. Netgear R8000) 都有 USB 3.0 port, support DLNA. 咁其實加只 SSD 落 Router 會否比用 NAS好? 起碼唔駛駁咁多缐, 又係 pure for music.

有冇師兄有此經驗?

Many entry level router has USB 2.0 also. Compared with NAS, at least one less LPS required.

It is work, only issue is very slow for song shorting and scanning.

Also better to use 2 routers

-- Router 1: As switch for file sharing through USB and connect direct to the player. Also switch off the Wifi function to reduce noise.
-- Router 2: For Wifi and internet interface. Connected to router 1 through LAN cable

I just purchase Netgear R8000 today. Will report all of you later for the performance.

Wait for the report. Should sound better if turn off Wifi or turn to low signal power...

試左，用 router 加hdd 無 咁好聲，有啲暗但只係少少

router 個USB 3.0 速度只有20 - 50 MB/s, 與lan相比差之千里, 穩定性和靈活性亦比lan差
