i have a52 before , not that suprise , may be cd part improve 10% but not much on movie side . so u mean 1000d may be a little better than xpa ? u have one before?

I think around 10K to 15k int amp with a "by pass" function already does it's best! Better class A or AB, then it should make a big a real difference comparing with listening CD via AV Amp.
