Universal has announced the Steven Spielberg Director’s Collection for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 10/14. The set will include eight films from Spielberg, including four available for the first time ever on Blu-ray and “digitally-remastered from their original elements.” New titles include Duel, 1941 (both the theatrical and extended cuts), Always, and The Sugarland Express. You’ll also get Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. From the press release: “Hours of bonus features include Making-of Documentaries, Interviews with Steven Spielberg, Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes, Rare Archival Footage, Deleted Scenes and much more.
