Got nothing to say for the video & sound quality of 83. Regarding the function wise, just want to say perfect for 2 points:-

1) There is an individual button on the remote control to change the video resolution directly. Seems now only Pioneer got this feature. It's convenient.

2) While playing the disc, you could still go into initial setting & adjust all features in this player, no need to stop the disc playing. It is very good when you want to fine tune your gears like display.

I just use cheap cheap Monstor Cable with SSP Nakamichi RCA to play analog. The sound seems better than my previous 51fd. But frankly speaking, I seldom listen to music CD........{:6_122:}
