my experience.
If you are kind of series about photo shooting
don't waste your money on the "CHEAP" model, they are just similar to the non-DSLR but less powerful.

If "Light" weight is what you concern the most and not necessary DSLR, then look for non-DSLR camera.

If "Light" weight + DSLR, my personal experience was, the d7100 is even lighter than the D3100 since I can get a better grasp, then my hand was not easily tired, therefore, seems the d7100 is "lighter"

$10000 budget? and Nikon DSLR? of course D610
(I am using D7100)
