For LPCD, AMCD,or K2HD cds you can surely hear a difference. I've gone through several AB comparisons with two sets of totally different hifi setup( hi-end ones), in the presence of people including ladies who aren't audiophiles before arriving at such a conclusion. But for those 24k cds, no comparisons have been made but I think the result will be more or less the same. If a numbered version cd is sold for $150, then I'd pay no more than $100 for a nonnumbered one ! BTW i have a cd collection of >8k, so I've some experience with these silvery discs.
