故事簡介:
公元2154年，只剩下兩類人存活在世界上：居住在設備完善的Elysium太空站、安享無憂生活的超級富豪；以及住在擁擠、飽經摧殘地球上的大多數人。地球上人人都渴望遠離這罪惡及貧困之地到Elysium去，尤其希望可以享用太空站上最先進的醫療設施醫病；但Elysium的管治者為了保障人民的奢華生活，不惜用任何手段嚴厲執行反偷渡法。
在走投無路、生死迫在眉捷的情況下，Max（麥迪文 飾）決定放手一搏，前往守衛森嚴的Elyisum對付Elysium的秘書長 Delacourt（茱迪科士打 飾）及其強悍的守衛隊，希望藉此可以打破這兩個地方極其不公平、不平衡的現狀。如果任務成功，他不單可以自救，更能拯救千千萬萬地球人的性命！
