Any Ching using QNAP NAS? Help require

Any Ching is using QNAP NAS?

I need some helps for my TS-212. I am only have one 2TB harddisk installed on my TS-212 now. I found out that my disk space is going to run out soon.... Hence, I need to add a new HD on it.

I do not need to run any Raid service.....

I would like to know a few things before buying a new HD:

1) What kind of HD I can add? Can I install a new 3TB HD or I must using another 2TB HD because my existing HD is a 2TB HD
2) After install the new HD, will there be any impact to my data on the existing HD?
3) Do I need to format the new HD?
