What's the meaning of "static"? Have you updated your Mytek to 1.7.1? It is quite obvious that the DSD quality will be better than red book CD(16/44.1), but not agree that 64xDSD or 128xDSD will be better than 24/192. The weak point of the comparison is, he converted the HD PCM files into DSD format for easy comparison through the DAC.
"Since so many modern recordings are PCM, is it worth converting them to DSD if that becomes the dominant HD distribution format?Or does the 24/192 file sound better unconverted?
If he could convert a 24/192 file to DSD, and compare the resulting DSD file with the original 24/192, it would be interesting to know what differences in sound quality exist. "
