You just know the basic (e.g. property of different materials to sound change), then that's a mix and match process.
Just like cooking, you know what's the taste of sugar, salt, etc... Then you need to decide what to use and adjust the quantity to make your own recipe.
Everyone's listening environment & equipment are different (unique), so it's hard to "plug and play".... if you want to get the perfect result.
