Anyone try CA Stream magic 6 .. I am interested in this product.. it DAC + Network player function!looks good!

Got it about 2 months ago! Excellent sound! Network capability is good. I sometimes find it sounds better with 320kbps MP3 then WAV/FLAC....maybe it is just me or the 384khz upsampling work better with mp3!?
I also hook it up with the DV7600 through coaxial and use it as DAC . It gives a different flavor than the Marantz....a little bit more clinical.
I had a little problem with their tablet support initially because I use Android. It is now fixed.
Still have problem getting 24bits/192Khz working through the back USB with my PC. Waiting for CA's customer service's response. I use Nas with Audioquest LAN cable to play, very very good.
You recommend you try play by NAS, it is way better then PC+USB!!! hello Ching, wonder if the upsampling function is seletable or not, i mean is that same as DACmagicplus, can chose 96k or 192k sampling? 唔知同MF M1 CliC 比較又如何呢？ 本帖最後由 picard2008 於 2012-9-21 15:08 編輯

Thanks. I am using that with my QNAP on the first day already. It sounds great. Even over Wifi with 24bit/96Khz WAV/FLAC.
However, I have a few 24bits/192khz files that I want to play through it. According to CA, PC + USB is the only way to do so without problem. Have you tried that? Nothing from their CS still.
BTW, I picked up a 2nd hand CA 840A V2. Initially, I use RCA cable to play through the 840. It sounds better than the Marantz...not a lot but you can hear the different. After buying a pair of cheap XLR cables from Ap Liu Street, I change the connection to full balance! Boy, what a different. I was surprised I can hear it. Now it is more open and more crisp for the treble & mid and better definition for the bass. Less fatigue too! 回復 7# MK9395
I have not checked but I think everything is up sample to 384khz.
