故事簡介：
三位太空人登上太陽神13號，向月球進發，起初三日的旅程非利常順利，由侯斯頓太空中心突然收到太空船發出的信號，隊長佔路維 (湯漢斯飾演) 沉重地說出一句經天動地的說話：「侯斯頓……太空船出現了問題。」原來太陽神13號的能源和指示系統發生了故障，連氧氣供應也迅速地減少，三位太空人立時要面對不能重返地球這個事實。成千上萬的地面工作人員也措手不及，全世界的人都靜默下來，不敢奢望三位太空人可以平安返家。 Houston, We've Got a Problem.
