From experience, Pioneer is lots more analytically compared to Onkyo. Onkyo sounds too boring without much surprises.

I am also choosing between these 2 AV amps.
My conclusion is:
for movies -> pioneer
for music -> onkyo

I also agree with the above c-hing saying that AV amps are 'seafood price'
more demand -> price increase
dead stock -> special price / price decrease

    其實P記嘅LX55喺好多review都best buy,連what hifi 都選為年度best buy, 流極都有個普!

不過Whathifi 有時都幾攪笑...

佢選就選LX 85 BEST BUY, 但口講就話5009 係佢地新既REFERENCE RECEIVER....可能係客氣說話掛....

對, 其實真係口味問題, 二部跟本冇得講邊部好聲邊部唔好聲, 因為真係唔同聲底, 其實係冇得比較, 只係睇你LIKE邊種多!!!!
