In my experience, if u really want to have a good result, the speaker is the most important. Don't waste money to change and change difference speaker. I also like euro amp more than Japan or USA amp. You try MBL Speaker such as 126 + 7008 amp. There are very good sound for classic and jazz.

Audia Flight
B.M.C
Also good amp

I am using MEL Audio pre+power amp from Italy. However, there are no dealer in HK now.

YW, I also use SF Toy tower before. I like SF too. But change to other speaker now.

    thanks ckw3031 c-hing. i will go visit again the cremona M SE floorstand speaker. hope can get my home boss to approve as a bit over my budget. only worry as this set of speaker only sell in HK and China which might drop very quick in 2nd mkt. would you think so?

if cannot get approve boss, hope she will approve me to go for cremona auditor M SE as 2nd choice. Cheers.

I remember around $6xxxx but not sure. It is near Cremona M price.

finally, i made the call and ordered liuto, and now pending for the deliverable : )

Hope c-hing can continue advice my next step ~ to pick the amp & cdp

basic selection:

1) Audia flight 3 (cdp + amp) = cost about HKD33K
2) - not sure about the total cost

if willing to spend more, i am thinking to go for

Amp:
1) goldmund 390.2
2) Mcintosh MA6600
3) Unison Research (unico primo - 80W)

cdp:
a) Audia flight CD one M
b) Marantz SA-11S2 or SA-15S2 or PM-KI Peral amp
c) Esoteric K03 or K05 (not sure the difference - need to do more research)
d) Cary 306
e) Unison Research (unico CD primo)

Unison Research is interesting one . it is made in Italty and it is a mixed of tube & stone amp.

C-hing, how would you select?
