AGREE ，加左POWER AMP 後，前級和後級分兩個獨立插頭取電，力水一定較好，加上前後負責DECODE ，後級負責AMPLIFICAITON ，NOISE 一定會少好多
我覺得709+POWER AMP ，力水一定好過909

Agreed, 因為佢用緊 905, 以目前技術黎講, 係一部前級好差(連 192/24 5.1 都解吾到)而後級好正既 AV amp, 如果單以迫切性黎講, 反而係先買部前級俾 905 推喇叭, 效果會好過 905 + 後級.

so, should I buy the 5509 for pre-amp and use 905 as power amp for now? using 709 make me feel like I am degrading instead of upgrading.
or should I just buy the 5009 and forget about pre and power amp for these few years.

師兄講到呢兩個option，我就胆粗粗建議5009咯。
除非師兄係好想「玩」av-amp，享受前後級配搭的過程樂趣，咁就另計。
I would suggest you go for XPA-5 first than change the AV-PRE amp later on.

It is all my friend's fault, he MADE me to go buy his 5009 with him, and after I tried it at his place, man, it is soooooo much better than my 905 (of course, new model compare to anciet model).
But after so many years (more than 17 years) of 'using' (can't really say i am 'playing') av product, and I know I will never have the money to use those $100000 amp, I just want to try the next level, power amp.
hmm....

琴日去聽比拚會, 個場有四五百呎, 用 5009 推 9 隻 4 Ohm 82dB 喇叭, 5009 完全冇腳軟, 就算我自己用緊都吾信佢咁好力....仲以為佢加咗後級{:6_136:}

如果有多餘錢"玩"機, 先買 5509 (or AVP) + 905 感受吓新 amp 技術, 遲 D 再賣 905 轉 power amp.
如果吾係"玩"機, 純粹要結果, 賣 905 補錢轉 5009 係最正路既選擇. (我都係 905 用家, Nick 兄都好似係...{:6_136:} )
