LED. The letters LCD happen to be the model number... I have been using Panasonic Plasma for the past few years. The color of Sharp is simply amazing, I would imagine that 60X50 would be even better, but unfortunately no stock in Dongguan. The only downside compared against Plasma are black level and response time in some really fast scenes, otherwise I prefer the Sharp - watching Cartoon movies on the sharp is like a dream.
