My F113 too.... Just fixed and waiting dealer to ship back home... so trouble!!!

I am worried about the quality this sub-woofer...

May be I have to unplug everytime when no in use.... T_T

had a thought last 2 days

for my case, it seems like the amp or the speaker part is the issue and not the power supply

as far as i know there should be a small part/circuit consuming power to detect signal and to turn on/off the amp during standby, so if signal is not detected the amp part/circuit is off.  keeping it in the standby mode should only effect the standby circuit.

mine went "dee-dee-dee....." in a sudden during operation not during standby

I also had an entry-level subwoofer (not JL) that broke down in the past, even though it was set to low volume.  Its circuit board was burnt.  It died in standby.  From that experience I no longer let subwoofer standby.  I only switch it on manually when I need it.

almost $5000 for a repair

what went wrong with yours?

Mine is lucky, only 1100 inluding devliery and pick up cost by dealer.

They told me the root cause is due to the failure of capacitor...

I read the manual again, they suggest to switch to “off” mode first and then turn off the switch at the back if not in use for a while...

i ..... i ..... do not think so but "Gravity" does sound very loud for the low frequency

i use it everyday because i use it when watching tv too....
